I have been living in the Medina of Fez since 2019. I am currently getting to know life in the medina. A whole new world opens up. I myself have experience with buying real estate in the Medina. With the help off a French gentleman to steer everything in the right direction. Alone it is almost impossible, because you really need the knowledge of Moroccan traditions. I would like to share my experience with you and help you find a typical home that suits your needs. Additionally, I was also able to witness the renovation up close. That is where I met Mr Hafid.
Hafid Elrami
Hafid was born in the countryside 1hour drive from Fès. He moved to Fès for college studies when he was 13 years old and used to work together with craftsman during his summer holidays. There he gained experience working in a wide range of renovating traditional architecture. Eventually he created his company focused on restoration of buildings. Hafid is both taking on government and private projects in Fès and Meknès. He has 3 boys and one girl.
Mohammed Chihoub
Mohammed was born in the Medina of Fes. Mohammed comes from a large family with many children. He is happily married and the proud father of a son, Mouad. Mohammed loved kick-boxing in his youth and trained many young people later in life. He currently focuses mainly on the profession of Broker in the Medina. He has pleasant contact with owners of Dars and Riads who wish to sell their house. In addition, he knows the Medina in all its streets. Mohammed speaks 4 languages, Darijja, Arabic classic, French and English. He is eager to learn and always wants to perfect himself in languages!
